Nathaniel Miller has been playing water polo for 18 years, 14 with the National program. In that time he won three Bronze Medals at the Pan American Games, placed first at the Commonwealth Games in 2002 and second in 2005. Additionally, this native of Kirkland, Quebec, placed 11th at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

In this podcast episode, Nathaniel speaks about what inspired him to become a world-class water polo player. He talks about how he discovered the sport. Nathaniel explains why he thinks he is known as one of Canada's most decorated water players of all time. He played water polo in Barcelona, France, Brazil and Montenegro where he competed with and against some of the best players in the world. Nathaniel shares his opinion on what separates a good athlete from a great athlete. Additionally, he lists the qualities that make a great leader.

Winning the quarter-finals at the 2008 Olympic qualification tournament against Romania, in Romania was a highlight in his career. This win earned Team Canada a spot at the Beijing Summer Games. Nathaniel tells the story of this memorable moment and career highlight. He also shares what it was like to go to the Olympics. Lastly, Nathaniel provides his definition of greatness and what it means to him.
