To support LTTW donate at: https://bit.ly/3bAn8zf We are five short days away from the beginning of the Great Lenten fast. Whether you are new to the practice or need a review, we figured today would be a great opportunity to review why we as Anglicans participate in this ancient tradition of the Church. Ep 26021: Dr. Chris Castaldo: Evangelicals and Rome

Back from our hiatus, LTTW returns! In the present Christian climate, many questions exist about Protestant Christians' relationship with the Roman Catholic Church. We asked Dr. Chris Castaldo, a former Roman Catholic and expert on Protestant/Catholic relations to speak about what divides and unites us. When should we defer to tradition? When should we defer to Scripture? What does it mean to "swim the Tiber?" Chris Castaldo (BA, Moody Bible Institute; MDiv, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary; PhD, London School of Theology) was raised on Long Island, New York. For the last seventeen years, he has served in the Chicagoland area, at College Church in Wheaton and then at Wheaton College where he directed the Ministry of Gospel Renewal, a ministry devoted to equipping evangelicals for constructive engagement with Catholic friends and loved ones. LTTW is back from hiatus, with a guest host, Melanie Taylor. What is Abundant Life? "When we fail to help young people navigate how sex and relationships fit into the broader category of life, we are failing the God who created relationships to be deep, bountiful gifts for us. This resource was developed to educate students about healthy relationships, sexuality, dating, and decision-making, while also covering topics like pornography addiction, identity, social media usage, loneliness, depression, and suicide - all resting on the ultimate redemption found only in Jesus." Ep 12012: The Prayer of Humble Access

Rate, review, and subscribe on the podcast player of your choice. "We do not presume to come to this thy Table, O merciful Lord, trusting in our own righteousness..." Today, the Rev. Dr. Jim Salladin joins us to discuss this beautiful and uniquely Anglican prayer, recited before coming to the table of Holy Communion. We learned some key lessons: You don't tug on superman's cape. You don't spit into the wind. You don't pull the mask off that old lone ranger. You don't tell Jim Salladin that the Prayer of Humble Access is a second occurrence of confession within the liturgy. Find out why this statement of our own worthlessness points to Him whose name alone is to be glorified, our most merciful God. Happy Grandparents Day!!!

Today is Grandparents Day. Yes, we know it's nowhere to be found on any liturgical calendar. Yet, we have some pretty incredible grandfathers and grandmothers across ADLW. Many of them are courageous pioneers who God used to help build this diocese. We sat down with three grandparents, two Archdeacons and a Bishop's wife, and asked them how God had changed them through the experience of watching grandchildren grow up in front of them. You will be touched by what they have to say. If you are fortunate enough to have grandparents around, reach out, tell them that you love them, and that you are thankful that God placed them in your life.
