In this episode, Al discusses Jesus as the sacrifice for our sins. He explains that under the law, blessings were based on obeying commandments, but the new covenant is about Jesus obeying the commandments and dying on the cross for us.
Jesus fulfilled the law perfectly, and through Him, we are made righteous.
The law only points out our faults and cannot help us.
The law brings guilt and condemnation, while grace brings freedom and forgiveness.
Jesus' sacrifice on the cross ended the need for animal sacrifices and brought perfect cleansing for our sins.
We are now identified with Jesus and his righteousness. God's love and acceptance of us are not based on our performance but on His grace.
