Show Notes

In this inaugural episode of Lives of the Carroll Saints, host Dagim Degaro sits down with Carroll’s Director of Student Engagement, Patrick Harris, to reflect on a life shaped by relationships, service, and purpose.

Patrick’s journey began in Yakima, Washington, where a visit from a Carroll admissions counselor led him to Helena and into a community that would define his life’s work. As a student, youth minister, and longtime member of the Student Activities team, Patrick has spent decades walking alongside students and helping shape the Carroll experience.

In this conversation, Patrick shares the people and moments that influenced him most, from mentors like John Downs and Father Peoples to the quiet spaces on campus that still inspire his reflection and faith today. He speaks about the meaning of the Carroll mission, the importance of recognizing the dignity of every person, and the ways small acts of care can change the course of a life.
