In this episode, Dr. Andre Jerry welcomes Dr. Stephen L. Bond, an award-winning educator and bestselling author with over 22 years of teaching experience. Dr. Bond has taught World History, American History, Geology, and Biology at the high school level, and is a passionate advocate for education and equality. Having won the Minority Educator of the Year award in 2007 and 2009, his impact as an educator is widely recognized. Dr. Bond also serves as a State Board of Directors member for the Council for Social Studies in North Carolina.

Dr. Bond discusses his latest work, which tells the powerful story of his grandfather, David George Bond, who invented the turn signal for automobiles but never received compensation due to racism in the American South. His previous bestselling book, Perseverance in a Strange Land, chronicled the experiences of his students during the Covid-19 pandemic and their reactions to the murder of George Floyd.
