Your host, Doug Noll, talks with the CEO and Co-Founder of Bella Lash, Haley Chipman. Haley's story is fascinating. She began her career in nursing school at BYU, a path seemingly unrelated to the beauty industry. However, it was during this time that she discovered her passion for eyelash extensions, a burgeoning trend at the time. Haley quickly realized the potential of this skill, as it allowed her to work flexibly around her college schedule, taking clients at her own convenience.
The transition from nursing to beauty entrepreneurship was sparked by a simple observation. Haley's husband, an engineering student, noticed Haley's work with lashes and proposed creating a product to simplify the process. This collaboration led to their first patent—a lash style with a curved surface that was easier to grab. At just 19 years old, Haley co-founded her first company, Bella Lash.
