With a rich academic background in math, neuroscience, and economics from MIT, she found herself immersed in the supply chain team at Apple. It was there that Claire honed her skills in price negotiations, leading to an epiphany that would eventually spark the creation of ergo. Her love for efficiency and simplicity in negotiations laid the foundation for what would become a unique business model.
ergo launched in March 2023, introduces a novel concept to the world of e-commerce. Imagine you're eyeing a snowboard priced at $600, but your budget is $450. With ergo, you can make an offer directly on the retailer's website. If the retailer agrees, you get the product at your price, and they move inventory that might otherwise sit unsold. It's a win-win situation that benefits both the consumer and the retailer.
