Show Notes
Your host, Doug Noll, talks with the CEO of TradeZing, Jordan Edelson. Jordan's entrepreneurial spirit shone through as he founded one of the first esports broadcasting companies, Esports TV, and Game Broadcasting Live. His pioneering work in this field predated platforms like TwitchTV by nearly two decades. Despite the technological limitations of the time, Jordan's company was the first to broadcast esports through video to the web, a groundbreaking achievement.
Jordan's career trajectory took an intriguing turn when he became the CTO of H3 Enterprises, the first publicly traded hip-hop company. Collaborating with industry giants like Russell Simmons, he helped launch hip-hop-themed restaurants, blending his tech expertise with the vibrant world of hip-hop culture.
Jordan delved into the less glamorous side of entrepreneurship—the need to be a problem solver and a "firefighter." He emphasized the importance of being hands-on, especially in startups, where leaders must wear multiple hats and tackle challenges head-on. Prioritizing issues and strategically extinguishing "fires" is a daily reality for Jordan, who manages multiple companies simultaneously.
