Your host, Doug Noll, talks with the Co-Founder of goTIELESS, Rob Kessler. Rob's journey is a testament to the power of innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit. The concept of shirt stays and how they differ from collar stays. For those unfamiliar, shirt stays are designed to prevent collars from curling, ensuring your shirt looks crisp and professional all day long.
Rob's inspiration for this ingenious product came from a personal experience. He was getting married on the beach in Jamaica and found himself frustrated with his inability to keep his shirt collar looking neat without a tie. This led him to create a collar stay that could be inserted into the front of a dress shirt, solving a problem many of us didn't even realize we had.
Rob's journey in entrepreneurship is as fascinating as his product. He shared his early entrepreneurial endeavors, his passion for cars and boating, and his move from Los Angeles to Atlanta. He also discussed the challenges and successes he has faced in building his clothing business.
One of the most significant challenges was securing a deal with a major dress shirt manufacturer, which unfortunately fell through due to external issues. Despite this setback, Rob remains confident in his product and is determined to continue pursuing partnerships with other companies.
