It looked at me… looked away… and looked back at me… all without moving its body. My brain went blank. I said, quote, "Oh my gawd… it's… that's… look… um… it's… it's a murderbird," because an owl was blamed for the death of Kathleen Peterson. That's the best I could do under the circumstances.
