In order to arrest Rex Heuermann in connection with at least 3 of the murders in the "Gilgo 4" case, law enforcement officials first had to gather and analyze massive amounts of information. From gathering internet search records to comparing the location of cellphones and gathering DNA from a discarded slice of pizza, officials knew that they would need a mountain of evidence before they took Rex Heuermann into custody. Host, Chris Mass, speaks with a former homicide detective from the New York City area about what steps were most likely taken.
