When Maureen Brainard-Barnes and Megan Waterman's bodies were found on Gilgo Beach, it seemed that friends and family were the only ones who'd been looking for them. Authorities showed little concern for these missing women, presumably because they were sex workers. Only as part of the Gilgo Four did their names gain any real recognition. Why did it take their murders to make people take notice? This episode looks at the stories of two unique women who met similarly untimely fates.
