This week in the Liquid Sunshine Discotheque the Sound System looks at the career of Aretha Franklin, who died last night on 16 August 2018, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. We look at her early career from the very first album she recorded at age 14 until her very last, recorded only last year.
In particular, we are going to look at her album Amazing Grace, possible her best, certainly her most influential.
Liquid Sunshine is also a weekly radio show on Artsound FM in Canberra - two hours of the best funks, grooves and beats presented by DJ Maarten Vlot - The Disco Sasquatch.
