On today's show Tynice Hall joins John to share her story. Part of it is tragic, a 28 year prison sentence for a non-violent conspiracy crime, but the best part has triumph, freedom after 13 years.
Tynice was recently granted clemency by President Trump on February 18th of this year. Tynice was sentenced to 28 years and 7 months back in 2006 for charges of Conspiracy to Distribute and Possession with Intent to Distribute. Her only prior offense was a misdemeanor for writing a bad check. When President Trump granted Tynice clemency, at the urging of Alice Johnson, she had served more than 13 years in prison.
