If your target audience were aware of the benefits of what you are trying sell them you wouldn't need to be resorting to the measures you are to generate leads. If your target audience had friends fond of what you are selling, they probably would have invested already. The above mentioned are both factors worth considering when deliberating as to whether you are being "too pushy," or not.
