Lightly Salted

Jesus breaks all social customs and prejudices to share the grace of God with a woman who then becomes an evangelist to her kinsman.

First my apologies to U2 and Bono himself for mispronouncing his name!Karma asks, "Who sinned, this man or his parents." Grace says, "It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him."

Even as Jesus heals the man born blind we see that our spiritual condition is all too often just as blind.

Life in the wilderness is hard as the newly freed Israel is learning. But God continues to provide as only He can.

John 3:16 is referred to as "the gospel in a nutshell." But just as important is John 3:5 which shares with us how a person comes to believe in Jesus by being born of water and the Spirit. It is the gospel in a seashell.

Tonight we hear the grace of God that forgave the sin of Isaiah and the prophetic word God gave to Isaiah about our redeemer.

A slight variation of the Three Musketeers chant provides an excellent summary of Romans 5. Here the truth of our nature and our salvation is clearly laid out.

Our midweek Lenten service are focusing on the Amazing Grace of God shown in the lives of people and characters in the Bible. Ash Wednesday starts with David, the "psalmist of Israel" who is also an adulterer, murderer and ancestor of Jesus

The Divine glory of Jesus shines through

The child's game of romance NOT the way we relate to God or He to us. It's much better news than that!

Jesus is clear that his followers are salt and light in the world. That is our calling even when we are unaware of it.
