God has created us to live in relationship and community with other people. In fact, in John 17, Jesus said that the glory the Father gave to Him, He is giving to us (the people that believe in His Name). The glory that Jesus demonstrated is meant to be displayed through communities of people. The problem with this reality is….people. People mess this up with sin, selfishness, pettiness, etc. Therefore the question is: will we allow our experiences or hurts dictate our vision of community or will we allow Jesus to give us our vision of the future?
