LifePointe Church Sermon of the Week

In the opening session of the 2026 Jesus Is Worthy Conference, guest speaker Jeff Hubing dives into the familiar story of the Rich Young Ruler from Mark 10. Jeff challenges us to look past the traditional view of this story as a mere "rebuke" of wealth. Instead, he reveals a compassionate, loving invitation from Jesus to trade a life of calculated piety for a life of radical, personal following.

In this teaching, Tony Meyer explores what it truly means to be a "Spirit-filled community" in a modern world where extreme behaviors, abuse, and cynicism often cloud the issue. Drawing primarily from 1 Corinthians 12, 13, and 14, Meyer emphasizes that the ultimate purpose of spiritual gifts is to glorify Jesus and edify (build up) the church. He provides a framework for healthy operation, focusing on love as the non-negotiable filter for all spiritual expression.

In this workshop session, Drew Meyer explores the idea that Jesus is worthy of our love in every season of our lives. He warns against the common trap of living in the past or constantly looking toward the future, which can cause us to miss how God is moving in our lives today. He provides a three-question framework designed to help listeners gain prophetic vision, hope, and faith for their current circumstances.

In this session, Jeff Hubing examines how greatness is redefined in the Kingdom of God. He explains that while the world often equates greatness with authority and being served, Jesus demonstrates that true greatness is found in service and humility. Jesus’ humility is not a struggle against his divine nature, but rather a direct expression of his perfect character as the image of the invisible God.

He emphasizes that recognizing Jesus' worth leads to a deep sense of joy and happiness.
