Followers of Jesus are called to embrace trials as necessary for producing a deep, abiding joy grounded in tested faith. Christ’s resurrection and the sovereignty of God empower Christians to live joyfully in the midst of pain and suffering.
Servanthood to God means surrendering control, trusting God’s purposes, and allowing hardship to bring about spiritual growth and joy that cannot be taken away.
