The story of Abraham and Isaac serve as the background to the revelation of God's Name. God desires to be our Jehovah Jireh today. He desires to be our provider in all things. The question before us is whether we are willing to obey, seek Him and place our greatest desires and ambitions below Him. When we do, we will discover that God provides for our every need, ultimately experienced in Jesus Christ who is both the sacrificial lamb and the pathway for our deepest satisfaction.
