<p>The Sermon On The Mount is arguably the most influential teaching in human history. As Jesus unpacks his first public sermon, he does so by beginning with what is now knows as "The Beatitudes." In this series we will unpack The Beatitudes in an effort to learn how Jesus describes how life can truly be experienced.</p>

<p>Have you ever wanted to be great at something? Perhaps a sport, cooking, academics or maybe even in your marriage? The truth is at some point we have all desired greatness it some form. Jesus was never shy in addressing the ambition to be great. In his words about being great, Jesus gives us His truth and reveals to us His character in our pursuit of greatness. His answer is indeed a paradox to be embraced.</p>

<p>Many times each of us works our entire lives to build up kingdoms for ourselves. These kingdoms are the things we live for and where we find our identity. Yet, each of those kingdoms can and will be shaken. In this series we will study through Hebrews 12 and see that the Kingdom of God is an everlasting Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is ours to receive and it is a kingdom that cannot be shaken.</p>

<p>Last week we learned about praying in a pandemic. This week, Pastor Trevor teaches on the surrounding verses in 1st Thessalonians 5:16-18. How do we rejoice in the midst of trials? Why should we even rejoice in the midst of trials? Watch as Pastor Trevor encourages us to seek the good in the hard times and to remain in God when all feels lost.</p>

<p>Jesus Christ came to set us free from the power of sin that often leaves us feeling defeated. As followers of Jesus, we don't fight for victory, but we walk in the victory already given to us.</p>
