From the publisher

We are excited to launch the Life Sculptors Podcast where we have conversations that help your life take shape. The format of this podcast is structured around reading children's books and extracting life lessons for adults. There is a saying that everything we needed to learn about life we learned in kindergarten. Our early childhood educators know that the secret sauce to deep learning is through story. So we'll use story to make our conversations "stickier" in hopes that the lessons will remain with you long after you finish listening. You can learn more about us at www.lifesculptors.org

S3 Ep 3You Don’t Have to Fix Everything: Learning to Balance Responsibility and Restraint

What does it really mean to help someone who’s overwhelmed or dysregulated? In this episode, Dante uses The Very Cranky Bear as a lens to explore a powerful truth: many relational problems don’t begin with bad intentions—they begin with inattention. We unpack why we often try to fix people’s feelings instead of examining our own behavior, how dysregulation is frequently caused rather than spontaneous, and why emotional labor often falls on the most thoughtful person in the room.Supporting someone well isn’t about doing more. It’s about holding responsibility and restraint at the same time.

He’s mismanaging himself as a resource. This conversation explores:Why avoidance often signals resource depletion, not defianceThe difference between rest as escape and rest as stewardshipHow imbalance—not effort—leads to resentment and resistanceWhy eating, cleaning, and sleeping are acts of maintenance, not self-careRest isn’t something you earn after you’ve done enough. It’s part of the work itself.Listen and consider: What part of you has gone untended—and what would stewardship look like now?

Something’s happening to the air between us. You can feel it—in conversations that escalate too fast, in rooms that feel tense for no clear reason, and in the fatigue we carry from just being around other people. We don’t just think independently—we feel collectively. S2 Ep 14What Is "Bad" Behavior Really Telling Us?

Why do we call certain behaviors “bad”? Most of the time, it’s because they make us uncomfortable, disrupt the status quo, or don’t fit into what’s considered “acceptable.” But what if “bad” isn’t the end of the story? What if it’s actually the beginning of something new? In this episode of the Life Sculptors Podcast, we read Bad Bunny by Jonathan Bentley and explore the deeper purpose behind behaviors and attitudes that get dismissed as “bad.” From listening to behavior as communication, to the tension between compliance and conviction, to how cultures define “acceptable” differently — we’ll uncover how reframing “bad” can unlock hidden strengths and make space for difference.
