When Marissa was a toddler, I started yelling a lot because it seemed to be the only that "worked." It got me the short-term results I wanted, and it helped me feel powerful and in control.
But I hated myself.
I knew intellectually that I wasn't being the kind of mom I wanted to be. I knew that Marissa didn't deserve to be yelled at, but at the time I didn't know how to stop.
In today's podcast, I share a little bit about my story and the insight that helped me regain my self-control and inner calm.
