The Bible talks often about idols and the call to remove those fake gods from our lives. In 1 Samuel 7, the Israelites put away their man-made images and directed their worship to the one true God. Do we have false gods today? Money, professional athletes, celebrities, position, status, and even ourselves name a few. What would happen if we completely ignored all the distractions and turned to fully worship the Lord Jesus, our God and Savior? The Israelites provide a glimpse of this from our text.
