It probably never crossed David’s mind when he was anointed by Samuel to be king of Israel that he would find himself on the run. Instead of being accepted by King Saul, he would have to flee to protect himself. Life this side heaven often takes us down paths that seem we’re headed in the wrong direction, but in the sovereignty of God’s plan it places us right in the center of His will.
