The deepest desire of every human heart is to know that someone cares for them. Is there anyone out there that really cares about me?
As we turn our attention this weekend to Psalm 8, you can almost imagine David as a young shepherd staring into the night sky. He sees the vastness of God’s creation displayed in the heavens. He considers the majesty of the God who has created all that he sees and is overwhelmed that this same God would care for him. Not just care for him, but love him, know him, and be concerned with his life and activity. The stability of David’s life was rooted in the knowledge that God loved him. Now, more than ever, we need this same stability. In a world where we face all kinds of intellectual and atheistic pressures, we can stand firm because we know that our heavenly Father cares for us.
I pray that you will join us this weekend as we worship in song, in the study of God’s Word, and in the observance of the Lord’s Supper.
In Christ,
Pastor Chad
