Have you ever known someone who insists they have done right, but no matter how many times they’re told that’s not the case, it just never sinks in? They are wrong, yet it seems, they’re the only one who isn’t aware. Is it a close friend, family member, co-worker, or maybe it’s you? In 1 Samuel 15:23 Samuel told Saul, “Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king.” God calls us to obedience, not because He wants to take the “fun” out of things, but because He wants what’s best for us. This weekend, learn from Saul’s mistake so you can avoid making the same one.
