Plastic surgeon Peter Brooks, convicted of attempting to murder colleague Graeme Perks, has been struck off the medical register. Brooks, who specialized in burns treatment, stabbed Perks and tried to set his home ablaze during a Covid lockdown in Nottinghamshire. He was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of twenty-two years for attempted murder and arson. Perks, a retired surgeon, survived with a five percent chance of survival.
