Starting Monday, the main car park at Outwoods nature reserve in Loughborough will close for a major restoration project. Non-native conifer trees will be cleared to make way for native species, creating open glades full of wildflowers and benefiting endangered butterflies. Visitors can still access the site via alternative parking and marked footpaths. The felled trees will be used for timber sales, funding more native plants. The management committee is excited for the reserves brighter future.
