Show Notes
A rare Bronze Age gold torc, valued at £150,000, discovered in Leicestershire, is staying local thanks to a successful public fundraiser. The unique piece, one of just a few in the country, will be displayed at Harborough Museum, thanks to donations and grants. The torc, possibly first worn as a waistband, adds to the areas historical significance and will be studied by the University of Leicester for a Bronze Age research project.
