99 Examples of the Verb TO GET

Many of you have asked for an English lesson on how to use the verb TO GET in different sentences. I've been trying to write a script for an English lesson for a while now on this topic, and finally finished it and was able to record it today. In this English lesson you'll hear 99 examples of how to use this word in English. I'll admit some of the examples are repeats, but hey, repetition is a great way to learn an English concept! So here it is. 7 straight minutes of me talking and using the verb TO GET 99 times! All of the sentences used are correct informal English and are very common in everyday speech. I hope you enjoy this English lesson on the word GET. I do speak rather quickly, so you might need to turn on the word-for-word English subtitles or use the transcript. If you enjoyed this English class please share it with everyone you know! Should You Learn to Swear in English? 🤬

In this English lesson I'll talk about whether or not it is important to learn to swear in English. English people do swear. I sometimes swear, but it is rare. In this English lesson I'll talk about when people swear, how often they swear, when they DON'T swear, and how important learning swear words are when you are learning English.Basically, swearing is part of any language, and knowing when swearing is used, why it is used, and how it is used is a very important thing to know even if you don't plan on ever swearing yourself. The last thing you want when speaking English is to use a swear word at the wrong time, when it is inappropriate, or in a way that doesn't make sense or offends people.I hope you enjoy this English lesson about swearing!Note: This is the audio portion of a Youtube English lesson which you can watch right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHJNtLquJr4 or find by searching Youtube for, "Bob the Canadian Swearing"Support the show

Learn English Tenses: The Present Perfect

Welcome to this English grammar lesson about the present perfect tense. This is a very common English verb tense, and it can be a bit tricky for people who are learning English. It is one of the more advanced English verb tenses. It is helpful to know it when you want to talk about actions where time is not important, time is not specified, or the action is not finished.Once you master the conjugation and usage, you'll be able to use it in sentences like, "I have studied English since I was a kid!" You'll notice in this sentence we're talking about something that has no clear start or end. The time is not important so we use the present perfect tense.I'll start by helping you learn how to conjugate in the present perfect for written and spoken English. This verb conjugation is made up of the subject, the verb "to have" conjugated, and then the past participle of the verb. I'll also make sure I help you learn how to use it in the negative, and how to form questions with the present perfect.I hope you enjoy this English grammar lesson about the present perfect tense! Don't Make These Mistakes When Using English Adjectives!

I've noticed that English learners sometimes get their adjectives mixed up. I actually make the same mistake when I'm speaking French! In this English lesson I'll look at adjectives that end in -ED and -ING and how they can have very different meanings when you use them to talk about yourself. If you've ever said, "I'm amazing!", instead of, "I'm amazed!" you might smile a bit during this lesson when you realize what you actually said. One means you think you're cool, the other means you are looking at something that amazes you.Learning English takes time, and sometimes along the way it's important to review and improve your use of adjectives. I hope this English adjective lesson brings a smile to your face and also helps you in your next English conversation!I think it's very cool that you are learning English and I hope you have a great day!Note: This is the audio portion of a Youtube English lesson which you can watch right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XsBl-qOTrU or find by searching Youtube for, "Bob the Canadian Adjective Mistakes"Support the show
