Romans 7 confronts the battle every believer faces: Will we chase the empty performance of legalism or live in the freedom Christ purchased with His blood? Dr. Michael Youssef boldly proclaims that salvation by grace is not permission to sin—it is power to walk in victory. The law reveals our sin, but only the Holy Spirit enables true holiness. Like Paul, we cry out, “Who will rescue me?” and Scripture answers with authority: “Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!” In Christ, we are no longer enslaved to sin’s demands. We must surrender daily, grow in maturity, and rely on the Spirit’s strength as we honor the King who redeemed us.
