Through the words, “Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us,” Jesus reveals that bitterness blocks God’s blessing and short-circuits the believer’s effectiveness. Dr. Youssef boldly warns that without daily confession and continual forgiveness, even saved believers will feel spiritually empty and disconnected from God. True forgiveness is not optional—it is the evidence of the divine nature within. As followers of Christ, we must refuse pride, repent of grudges, and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Forgiveness brings joy to the heart of God and healing to His people.
