How do your kids feel about the current crisis and being quarantined at home? What unique challenges do they face with distance learning and the absence of in-person interaction with their friends? As parents, sometimes it's easy to dismiss their frustrations as mundane and their worries as unrealistic.
To give us a unique perspective, I'm interviewing the other Leading Lady in my family, my daughter, Marissa Loftus. Marissa is a sophomore in high school and she is a ray of sunshine! We're going to talk about some of the changes that we've made and how we're adjusting to working and learning at home.
In Today's Episode We Discuss:
- Marissa's life before COVID-19 and her passion for sailing
- The pros and cons of distance learning
- The life of an extrovert while on quarantine
- Dealing with the pressure to be productive all the time
- Online interaction vs in-person interaction
- What Marissa looks forward to when the quarantine is lifted
- How the quarantine has affected Marissa's college plans
- Marissa's advice to those who find distance learning difficult
