Peter James is group CEO of SU Australia, a Christian not-for-profit organisation working with young people and families across Australia to bring God’s love, hope and good news.
SU has more than 1200 staff and 8000 active volunteers creating local community collaborations to deliver adventure experiences, school chaplaincy, training, Bible engagement and other programs across Australia.
SU Australia was formed in 2021 by merging nine organisations into a unified governance and leadership structure, and with a vision of growing the mission even further. Peter and his team are implementing a program of integration and expansion, to build the movement into its full potential.
In his ten years with SU, Peter led SU’s expansion of school chaplaincy in Queensland under federal funding, and strengthening of the movement’s other frontline ministries.
Before SU, Peter was a telecommunications and technology partner of an international law firm. He is married with five adult children.
