Lawrence Residents, Get Ready for Free Compost! The citys first loading event of the season is happening this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the compost facility on 1420 East Eleventh Street. Staff will load your truck or trailer for $15 per scoop, which fills a standard pickup bed. Limit one scoop per vehicle until Eleventh Street clears out. Cash only, no bills bigger than $20, and bring exact change if you can. Proof of residency required. Three more loading days are scheduled for May 2nd, June 6th, and October 3rd. Dont miss out, Lawrence—your yards are about to get a boost!
