Show Notes

Daequan Rayton, a Topeka Crips gang member, received five years in federal prison for illegally possessing and selling machine guns. He previously beat a state murder charge in 2022, but federal investigators, through Operation Sob Story, caught him. Three other members were also charged: Marcos Esteban Arredondo, Pedro Galicia-Hernandez Junior, and Elijah Eugene Wilson. Wilson, who had a 3D printer for guns and silencers, pleaded guilty and received under four years. Arredondo got over ten years for selling fentanyl and a gun, while Galicia-Hernandez received twelve-and-a-half years for over sixteen thousand fentanyl pills found in his car. The U.S. Attorneys Office emphasized the importance of federal and local collaboration to dismantle such networks and ensure public safety.
