Show Notes
The Artemis Two crew, including Commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, mission specialist Christina Koch, and Canadian Jeremy Hansen, have just returned from a ten-day moon flyby, setting a new deep space record. They traveled farther than any humans before, surpassing Apollo Thirteens mark, and marked the first manned mission to the moon since Apollo Seventeen in 1972. The crew, visibly moved, shared their experiences and emotions during a massive welcome ceremony at Ellington Field near Houstons Johnson Space Center. The mission provided stunning views of the moons far side, a total solar eclipse, and a breathtaking Earthset shot. Despite a busted toilet, the mission was a success, paving the way for future lunar missions, including the Artemis Three docking practice and the planned moon landing in 2028.
