Alex Murdaugh’s financial theft accomplice, Russell Laffitte, requested a new trial after the disgraced lawyer testified the former Palmetto State Bank CEO had nothing to do with his crimes. Laffitte was convicted of multiple counts of fraud last November in connection to money stolen from Murdaugh’s clients.
