Her Son's Killer Was He Enabled by US Policy? Maureen Maloney’s 23-year-old son, Matthew, was killed on August 20, 2011 by an illegal alien who was drunk and driving without a license when he ran through a stop sign and collided with Matthew, who was on his motorcycle. Matthew should have survived the collision with just abrasions and bruises. However, while fleeing the scene, the illegal alien ran over Matthew causing him to become lodged under the truck. Matthew was dragged a quarter of a mile to his death while horrified witnesses were banging on the truck and screaming for the driver to stop. Since losing her son, Maureen has become an advocate for enforcement of U.S. Immigration Laws.
