The people of the village of Bakadadji, located in a National Park in Senegal, try to obtain funding to build fences that will stop the protected animals living in the park from ruining their crops every year. Through their efforts, these farmers fight for recognition of a rural lifestyle to which they are deeply attached. Immersed in the daily life of the villagers, this film tells the story of a meeting that never eventuates, and indirectly portrays our era's attitude to a rural world that struggles to have its voice heard.
