Why are trusts important?

How should you hold title when you buy a home? For some people the way they do is having a trust and it is honestly the best way to do it a trust helps you avoid probate. What probate does is that the court decides on who owns your property after you have passed away. If your property is in a trust and the trust owns the property while you are alive or have passed away it does not change so there is no need for probate. Also, a trust gives you a lot more control on what you do with your property and often they will choose joint tenancy.
