Zoox is expanding its robotaxi service across Las Vegas, doubling the number of sites it covers. The biggest change hits the Strip, where most resorts will soon get service, along with the Las Vegas Convention Center, T-Mobile Arena, and the Sphere. Rides on the Strip will start this spring, while arena and Sphere access will focus on big events. Zoox has also tested trips to Harry Reid International Airport and will now start testing actual robotaxis there. Regulators are reviewing a request to charge fares and add more vehicles. Zooxs four-seater pods, which ditch the steering wheel and pedals, will be bookable through the Uber app this summer. Las Vegas could soon see self-driving taxis become a common option for tourists and locals alike.
