Henderson police are urging residents to join their emergency alert system, Reverse nine eleven, which sends automated messages to landlines and mobiles during crises. The system, launched in 2021 and free to use, covers weather disasters, hazmat spills, and local emergencies. Sign up by visiting the city website and creating an account with your contact information. Many residents were unaware of the system, but parents especially appreciated the safety feature for their children.
