Rut Predictions are lame. We are basing this on the science, the cold hard facts! The rut happens the same EVERY SINGLE YEAR AT THE SAME TIME! Sorry to burst the bubble, but it's reality.
This week we break down our rut predictions from the pre-rut phase, lock-down, and the post-rut. We discuss how weather also impacts deer behavior during these time frames and how the moon phase really means nothing. For our region, the pre-rut falls between Oct. 26-Nov. 10, peak-rut falls Nov.11-16, then post-rut is Nov. 17- Nov. 25. This is all based on the average conception date for your region, but peaking breeding occurs during the 11-14th right here at home.
