To be successful, you have to hunt undetected. Therefore, you need consider where you wind is blowing at all times. This means that there is a very distinct need to a manage for dormant season voids. These areas can be diverse pastures, frequently burned early successional areas, or areas that have had many of the mast producing trees cut. Deer relate there activity direct to topography and vegetation, it is up to the landowner to find the balance of habitat improvement and funneling deer in killable locations.
