May 26, 2021--Karen Ottoboni talks with Mendocino Emergency Operations Director Brentt Blaser about the new emergency communication system, the Zone map, and how listeners can participate in Wednesday’s notification test. Mendocino County is launching a new emergency response plan in preparation for the upcoming fire season. They are dividing the county into numbered ‘zones,’ and asking county residents to get to know the zone numbers where they live and work. On Wednesday, they will test their Wireless Emergency Alert system and launch a new website MendoReady.org for emergency information, including the map of the new zones.
