April 29, 2021--KZYX is pleased to broadcast the newest lecture in the Mendocino College Symposium Series: Caring Classrooms and Communities, Supporting Mendocino County Students' Mental Health Needs Now and Beyond the Pandemic by Vincent Poturica. Many Mendocino County students have been affected by trauma related to poverty, wildfires, racism, and other issues. Students' responses to trauma and subsequent mental health struggles have been amplified during the COVID-19 pandemic. The talk explores ways to provide more consistent support resources for students throughout the county.
