August 30, 2024 — Investigators determined the cause of a fire that burned the interior of a beloved Noyo Harbor seafood restaurant early Wednesday morning to be accidental.
In other fire-related news, the Ukiah City Council closed a loophole in the city code to prohibit setting fires for cooking or recreational use — unless the owner of the property sets the fire. Meanwhile, a Ukiah man accused of setting fire to vegetation in the area of the McClure Subdivision Road is being held in the county jail with a bail set for $527,000.
