<p>Saskia Houttuin is per 1 maart de nieuwe Afrika-correspondent van de NOS. Ze gaat in West-Afrika wonen om verslag te doen van migratie, klimaatverandering en islamitische terreur. Houttuin was de afgelopen vier jaar al correspondent in Afrika voor RTL Nieuws. Ook werkt ze voor onder meer Trouw en de VPRO. Vorig jaar werd ze met haar reportages over vluchtelingen uit Tigray genomineerd voor de journalistieke prijs De Tegel.</p>
